Inserting Empathy into the Information Governance Requirements Checklist

The majority of us in the Information Governance/Information Management space are truly masters of our trades when it comes to the technical, design, and operational aspects of implementing a new program or instituting a new process within our organizations.  Rolling out a new project brings out the best in us as we are challenged to bring our “A Game” for the benefit of the organization.  We love learning new technologies, championing new processes, being on the “bleeding edge” and trail-blazing new industry standards … it’s in our DNA.

However – for those within our teams/organizations who don’t share our affinity for tackling new technology endeavors – we need to be more self-aware in recognizing when our passion for implementing change is perhaps terrifying to others with whom we have to interact.  How can we – as project champions – add “Empathy” as a line item to be addressed within the Information Governance Requirements Checklist to ensure a more successful project outcome for everyone within our organizations?

Ann Gorr has a novel and empathetic approach in working with clients to help them tackle their IG challenges.  We know that you’ll find more than a few unique ideas to implement during your next technology endeavor which will help to improve both the technical requirements gathering and the user participation/adoption processes … simply by incorporating a “more kind & gentle” approach!
